In the so-called 'dry season' of November-May, the air usually feels a little dryer and therefore cooler than in the green season. After the first rains in June, you can witness the fluorescence of nature to lush surroundings.

Many people prefer the green season that is typically sunny with cooling showers every few evenings or days. It’s a good season to visit Zipolite for a week or more to experience the variation.

hostel, retreat, and center of cultural arts. Sleeping chozas are 'ashramic' with few amenities for daytime use. Quarters are cleaned at turnover; common areas are cleaned on alternating mornings. Bed linens are provided, though you will need to make your bed/s upon arrival. If you don't have one, a simple sauna towel is available upon request. There are brooms in your choza, mezzanine, and kitchen for your use. CAMP is not a leisure class resort.

Nudity

Adult nudity is common on the beach, anywhere in CAMP, and only requested in the pool and sanarium. If your cycle or gender expression might mean keeping your bottoms on, please do whatever suits your needs. When nude, please sit on your towel.

Differentiating nudity and sexuality

An absence of sexual pressure is fundamental to the clothing optional experience.
Besides being personally liberating, experiencing social nudity is humanising and equalising. Without clothing's adjectives, people tend to accept one another as the special, sometimes fragile being each truly is. Mutual vulnerability promotes mutual respect, honesty, and trust. Civilised behaviour and open communications seem only natural within such a disarming context.
Naturist values
and common sense define a clear difference between
• Nudity quickly becomes unremarkable when generally practiced.
• Coercion, harassment, and predation in any form is prohibited by guest agreements so that no one is likely to witness a discomforting situation.
• Guests have lessened cause for apprehension that they will become objects of unwelcome pursuit just because they are nude.
• CAMP shares parents' concern for the inviolability of children.
• Guests who fear embarrassing arousal upon disrobing almost universally discover no basis for their worry.

Arrival

There is no arrival desk. To enter CAMP, do not ring the deliveries-only doorbell, instead operate the entrance with the code sent to you. Use this

of CAMP to locate your quarters or bed. Bedding is provided, though you will need to make your bed upon arrival. Your accommodations will be ready at or before 14:00 (2:00pm) on the day your stay begins (you may arrive earlier and store your things by the lockers).

Lockers

In your reservation message, you'll receive your locker's

and combination. While your belongings are quite safe in quarters or in lockers, CAMP is not responsible for your items.

Kitchen

Unlabeled
food is an 'eat me' invitation. Before departing, please unlabel any leftover food to share.

Community care

Respect those around you. Use earbuds for phone and laptop calls. Soft hours are 23:00-07:00 (11:00pm-7:00am). CAMP is perfume-free: refrain from using perfume, cologne, scented candles, synthetic incense. Overnight pets are prohibited.

Bring a towel

If you need one, we have extra sauna towels (and extra pillows), let us know in advance please.

Don’t bring soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc.

CAMP furnishes bio-digestible
shampoo-wash
that is kind to our aerobic digesters. CAMP is perfume-free, please.

WiFi

Starlink
(look for 'CAMP' network, your reservation message includes the password). Of course, you can unplug, interact with someone, appreciate them, and be alive together.

familiaCAMP

Join our 'digital campfire' (mx.camp/chat) where you'll learn about emerging things to know, our happenings, classes, workshops, network status, outages, you can ask questions, etc. This can be a place of interaction between past and current guests, and it is our virtual reception desk. If something needs staff attention, familiaCAMP is where to report it.

Drinking water

Any faucet's water is safe to drink; our well's water is tested and potable. Showers and faucets are water-saving. Waste-water is processed and repurposed for irrigation (so only use our supplied bio-digestible shampoo & wash that is kind to the aerobic digesters).

Mineral pool

Sand bottom, warmed, filtered, UV-sterilised, rich in ionic minerals, tested daily. Large inflatables are prohibited.

A sanarium is less hot than a sauna, usually 40-50°C and also uses humidity, around 50%. It’s a cross between a sauna and a steam room. As it’s not as punishing as a sauna, it can be used for longer periods and is better for the skin.

Happenings

CAMP curates classes, workshops, performances, and experiences—many with English translation. Most happenings end before 22:00 (10:00pm). For schedule and more information, see and contact the promoter directly, check the familiaCAMP Telegram group chat, or speak to a resident manager.

La Sala

To help with the challenge of shared sleeping spaces, an air conditioned and sound-tight private room for couples to use has comfy tatami mattresses and stocked with a supply of safe(r) sex items, and clean sheets. Please respect the space by keeping it tidy and sanitary. If you use sheets dispose of them in the laundry niche outside the room.  Do not nap or overnight in La Sala—yes, it is comfortable, but doing so prevents others from accessing it.
